I used to wonder why 'ir al parque' (go to the park) was one of my high school Spanish book's favorite phrases. Now it's one of my favorite things to do.
Right after lunch, the park is empty, but as people finish their siestas, the sidewalks come alive with dogs and dog-walkers, baby strollers and people who stroll. The playground is filled with children, and the pigeons keep on cooing. |
